1. The Five Pillars of Islam:
Narrated by Syed Abdullah Ibn Umar (R.A),
Prophet (PBUH) said: Islam is based on the following five principles: 1. to
testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and to testify that
Muhammad is Allah's Prophet. 2. To offer the Salah (compulsory Prayers)
dutifully and perfectly. 3. To pay Zakat i.e. obligatory charity. 4. To perform
Hajj i.e., the Pilgrimage to Holy City of Mecca 5. To observe fast during the month of
Ramadan.
2. Modesty Is Part Of Faith:
As Narrated by Syed Abu Huraira (R.A),
The Prophet said; "Faith consists of more than sixty branches i.e., parts
and modesty is one of the parts of faith”.
3. What defines a True Believer?
Narrated By Syed Abdullah Bin Umar (R.A),
Prophet (PBUH) said: "A true Muslim
is the one who avoids hurting other Muslims with his tongue and hands. And an
emigrant (Muhajir) is the one who abandons all what Allah has forbidden."
4. Who is a Good Muslim?
Narrated by Abu Musa, Companions of
Prophet (PBUH) asked the Prophet; "Whose Islam is the best?" He
replied, "One who avoids hurting other Muslims with his tongue and
hands."
5. Admirable Deeds: To Greet
on Meeting
Narrated by Syed Abdullah Bin Umar, A
man asked the Prophet; “Which deeds of Islam are good?" The Prophet
replied, 'To give food (to the deprived) and greet those whom you know and even
those with whom you do not have acquaintance with.
6. None of you will be a true Believer unless
Narrated by Syed Anas (R.A), The Prophet
(PBUH) said, "None of you will be a true Believer unless he wishes for his
Muslim brother what he desires for himself."
7. Love Of Prophet Is Part Of Faith:
Narrated by Abu Huraira (R.A), Prophet
(PBUH) said, "By Him in Whose Hands my life is, none of you will have
faith till he loves me more than his father and his children." Addition in
Narration by Syed Anas (R.A): “The Prophet said "None of you will have
faith till he loves me more than all mankind”.
8. Love Allah and Prophet more than any thing else
Narrated By Syed Anas (R.A), The
Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have
the taste of sweetness or delight of faith: 1. the one to whom Allah and His
Prophet becomes beloved more than anything else. 2. Who loves a person and
loves him only for Allah's sake. 3. Who hates to revert to disbelief as he
hates to be thrown into the fire."
9. Commitments of a Muslim to
Prophet of Allah:
Narrated by Ubada bin As Samit:
Allah's Messenger Prophet (PBUH) said while a group of his companions were
around him, "Swear commitment (Allegiance) to me for: 1. Not to join
anything in worship along with Allah. 2. Not to steal.
3. Not to commit illegal sexual
intercourse (infidelity). 4. Not to kill your children. 5. Not to accuse an
innocent person and not to spread such an accusation among people (that you
make yourself). 6. Not to be disobedient in performing good deeds as ordered by
Allah and His Prophet." The Prophet added: "Whoever among you
fulfills his pledge will be rewarded by Allah. And whoever indulges in any one
of them and gets the punishment in this world, that punishment will be a
punishment for that sin. And if one indulges in any of them, and Allah hides
his sin, it is up to Him to forgive or punish him in the Hereafter."
'Ubada bin As Samit said: "So we swore Allegiance for these to Allah's
Messenger.
10. Helping Escape Religion from Afflictions:
Narrated by Syed Abu Sayeed Al-Khuzri,
Allah's Prophet said, "At one time the best property of a Muslim will be
sheep which he will take on the top of mountains and valley so as to flee his
religion from affliction."
11. Prophet Was the Most Allah Fearing
Narrated by Hazrat Aisha Saddiqa (R.A),
Whenever Allah's Prophet ordered the Muslims to do good deeds; he used to order
them deeds which were easy for them to do. Prophet never ordered whatis more
than one’s stamina. Once the companions of Prophet said; "O Messenger of
Allah! We are not like you. Allah has forgiven your past and future sins."
Prophet (PBUH) became angry and his anger was apparent from his face. He said,
"I am the most Allah fearing, and know Allah better than all of you
do."
12. Having faith even equal to a mustard grain
Narrated Abu Sayeed Al-Khudri (R.A), The
Prophet said, "When the people of Paradise will enter Paradise and the
people of Hell will go to Hell, Allah will order those who have faith even
equal to a mustard grain seed to be taken out from Hell. So they will be taken
out but (by then) they will be blackened. Then they will be put in the river of Eternity and they will be fresh and
bright like a grain that grows near the bank of a flowing canal as you see the
seed grows out yellow and twisted"
